windows isnt detecting USB

Even though linux detects it without a problem windows didnt detect USB connections today yesterday i just played around the registry a lil' ...is that the reason for this i removed some dlls that i thought adware/hooks anyway i get this error on device properties,
Windows has installed and loaded the device driver properly but windows can;t find the device(code 41)
HELP ME!
and dont say to reinstall windows coz i dont have a CD at the moment and i dont want to get tangled on installing all programs[bit busy these days]

system restore have been disabled by me earlier thanks anyway i updated windows

Well , play with fire and you get burned.
And it looks like you got burned.

Uninstall all usb device drivers and try to re install them again.
