wireless router or access point

AP is a kind of switch between wired and wireless network
there are no routing or Nat functions on it
so it,s better to buy a wireless router it also act as a AP

i need to make network with my desktop & laptop to share internet & files,wich 1 is gd? i already having NETGEAR 4 port router not wireless
