Message: <blockquote data-quote="Shanidush" data-source="post: 8892834" data-attributes="member: 165090">A young woman, who had allegedly posed as a man and cheated a 23 year old  woman of Gandarawatta in Devinuwara into marriage, was produced in court and  referred to the JMO of Matara Hospital, after Matara Magistrate Udesh Ranathunga  ordered that her gender be confirmed.  The suspect, Nirosha Priyanga Kokdilage (32) of Aluthgoda Dickwella was  further remanded till December 7.  The marriage, it was revealed, had taken  place in secret without the knowledge of the parents of the couple.  The suspect woman had introduced herself as a soldier of the Army by the name  of Saranga Kumara Wanigasinghe.  However, in a short time the wife had realized  that her husband was not a man but a woman posing as a man. She made a complaint  in this regard to Gandara police who arrested the suspect.
