Hi,
Today Im gonna show you how to download and install wordpress on XAMPP localhost
Step 01.
go to google and search for "Wordpress download"-> goto official website of wordpress
http://wordpress.com/download/
Click on the latest version and hit download
Step02.
open your xampp panel
open your "htdocs" folder-> I have installed xampp on E:/XAMPP
copy your wordpress download file to there
now UNZIP
goto that folder-> ok now make it more proffessional now!
Im gonna copy those file to main folder->remove that folder "wordpress"
rename it to more proffessional name lets say "infocolombo.com"
ok let's check the result in browser-> my XAMPP is runnind and port is 88.
YOU ALMOST DONE!!!
Step 03.
select your lan
we need to create a database in our local host ->goto PHPMyAdmin
I'm gonna create db called "infocolombo"
Then go to wordpress installation-> hit "Let's Go"
Type Your database name "infocolombo" (in my case)
then your database username and password in my case user name is "root"
no password!
Table Prefix you can set to your own name. I'll keep it as it is.
Hit Submit
THEN CLICK "Run the Install"
Give you Site name to display in Title bar
User name for admin panel of wordpress. then the password for admin login
Note: this is not your database login right!
then a email address just in case
Hit "Install Wordpress". HORRAY now we can login....
