I wonder what would be the practical application of these? for scientific experiments only? Just curious. Are there any limitations/issues in atomic clock technology used in the practical applications ( like GPS)?
1sec per 3000 years

Pretty soon these will outperform the atomic clocks which are currently accurate to only 19 decimal places. The measurement of Quantum effects depends on the time accuracy.

PS: Note: Atomic clocks have much better accuracy than your 1 sec in 3000 years. Even the older ones in NIST had 1 sec in 100 Million years. Later ones far excceded this ti more than a Billion years. Nuclear clocks will beat all of these hands down.

yes, I was wondering about the benefits of nuclear clocks over atomic clocks when it comes to practical applications.

The development of nuclear clocks could have far-reaching implications:
    1. Improved navigation systems: More precise timekeeping could lead to GPS systems accurate to within millimeters.
    2. Faster and more reliable internet: Improved time synchronization could enhance network speeds and reliability.
    3. Enhanced cybersecurity: More precise timing could lead to better encryption methods for digital communications.
    4. Fundamental physics research: Nuclear clocks could help detect dark matter, verify the constancy of fundamental constants, and test theories in particle physics without the need for large-scale particle accelerators.
