For those who are now using the Windows 7 RC or RTM, the release candidate of the XP Mode for Windows Virtual PC has been released. This is the updated version of the virtual machine that you can run on Windows 7 (with WVPC installed) to run your older applications on XP but integrated into the Windows 7 host operating system so they appear to be running like any other application on your Windows 7 desktop. The beta has been out for a while, but the RC fixes some of the issues that beta testers complained about and added some new functionality, such as the ability to access USB devices in integrated format, better integration with the Windows 7 taskbar, and the ability to disable drive sharing between the XP applications and Windows 7.
