    actually the problem is,
for example, today SL vs India test. Rupavahini (i think) has the license to broadcast in sri lanka. Now i will display the match form another tv (i.e. espn, tensport) in my website.
this is what macho i want to check for any problem.

Thanks for the business (fucking asshole)

As for the matter in hand.

yes, you will have legal issues if the original broadcasting company finds out. Remember, these are multi million $ deals.

So the best option if you want to DO IT.... just jot down a small email to the original broadcaster saying that you would like to stream it on your website.

Make sure you CLEARLY say that you will endorse the original broadcasters name and logo on your website so if anyone wants, they can simply come to their website.

Make sure you DO exactly what you say in your letter.

Send the email about 5 times atleast if you don't get the response on the first time. So, if there's any problem, you can simply say that you didn't get any response regardless of your email(s).

but, there's only a VERY VERY remote chance that they will come looking for you.

But if they DO...they would simply get the webhosting company to shut your site down without even contacting you

So, send a email to them... and broadcast. No fuss

    Thanks Nash,

HM, it look like the one who stream in his website and provide the embed code also doing this illegally. he has coverd the original bradcaster logo with his website banner. exactly like going to theater and record the movie "Camera copy" . so this really going to make trouble as you sad these are milion doller deal.

hm, i might consider putting the matches only when no sri lankn tv's are broadcasting. How is that?

Regardless of who play's it and regardless of who's broadcast it or not.. it's illegal to stream any content without the consent of the original broadcaster.

But, it's just a small matter of putting a email and checking it out with them. usually they are OK withit, provided that you still to their guidelines.
