just check his list of movies and the number of best actor / supporting actor wins and nominations he has.
Neither De Niro, Pacino or Nicholson has that ratio.
Agreed that all 4 are exceptional actors but this guy is in a league of his own.
Look at his performances in, well, all of his movies (he doesnt have a lot).
