I think what is meant by 'rape' in this case is that the girl is minor. Any party who is under-age is considered to lack the sufficient maturity to consent to sex. Since this man is above 18, what he did is considered as child abuse by the law. Even if the girl consents, he's tried for abuse. That is why girls below 18 are called 'jail bait' in this sort of situation.

Remember the case where a 23 year old female teacher from US was jailed for having an affair with a 15 year old boy?

I wish people would get some sort of education about the basic laws. If you have sex with a minor, they will file a rape case against you, as simple as that. It does not matter if the underage person was consenting or even begging you for it. It does not matter whether they were male or female. I thought the age limit for consenting sex is 16 (in SL, what you pointed is US) I may be wrong...up to what age people are considered children in SL?
Of course over 18 is considered as civillians and hence adults. + permission to marry and watch porn.
