BCS is a well known ,recognized qualification. If you complete the PGD level of BCS,it will be enough to get a job in the IT market,But make sure you get some working experience in few known technologies(.NET,Java,C++..etc), if you want to work as a SE.
AFAIK BCS does not go in to deep in technologies. It gives you an overall idea about software engineering concepts which is very important ,but not enough though.
But do not worryBCS is a well known ,recognized qualification.

Or else if you are doing a good personal project ,it will be more than enough to brush up your skills,it is not a necessity to do these certifications.

You decide a path where you want to move on.
Eg:
Windows Based Application Development (MCTS)
Oracle Java Based
Other open source directions (PHP, RoR, Python)
Then start doing relevant exams.
Well u mean I want to do both oracle java based and mirosoft bases ones or one of them (well withouth this certification what kind of jobs will get) bcs i have an idea to do m.sc after this
Choose one path and maser it. A degree is just an entry qualification. You have to start from somewhere and build your career.

THANK YOU BRO ... I THINK I GOT YOUR POINT .. FINISH BCS WITH THE PROJECT AND DO EITHER JAVA OR MICROSOFT CERTIFICATIONS AM I RIGHT?/![]()

Do not depend on technologies a lot.It is true that you need to master one of these technologies to make your self familiar with the basic programming concepts. But after that try to adopt to any new technology you encounter on your way .If you want to be a programmer of course knowing a single technology will be enough .
Remember there are Java programmer ,.Net programmers ,But I have never heard of Java software engineers or .net software engineers.
So think what you want to be in the future ,some people find it interesting to work as a programmer through out their career, and some people dont.

so bro can recommend me how to become such one by guiding me![]()
