Go For SLT ADSL. That the Stable internet connectivity in Sri Lanka. And Same time SLT Will Continue on iSrilanka project these days with fiber connectivity to their street cabinet, It will speed up again

Dude this because distance,SLT ADSL maximum range is 4Km-5Km from Exchange, I totally agree their maintaining process , if line condition is good ADSL is more and More advantage than Mobile BB and WiMAX solutions

slt always sux dude. adsl is gud in other countries. not here & they hv a cap

depends heavily on the exchange and phone lines. 2 years back ADSL was crap in this area and I gave up on it and went for various other providers. 5 months back they upgraded the exchange with a fiber optic link and fixed new phone lines, now ADSL is extremely stable and speed stays constant. Even now I'm downloading at 55-60kbps.

BTW, other countries have download capacities on ADSL as well. Even countries like UK and Australia.

dan unlimited download kohe wath naha neda? man danna widiyata hama package ekakma dan limit. unlimited kiyala ekak naha :S SLT eketh 512 or 1mb owaye unlimited packages dan denne naha. Lanka bell gena nam danne na

For now Lankabell is the best provider in sri lanka bcoz no FUP or download limitations.
Not sure they will apply limitation in the future like other providers.
But for now LankaBell is the only broadband connection with good speed and no limitations

SLT owns that cable (SE-ME-WE sri lanka end point). Unless lankabell laid a new cable, they are just buying bandwidth from SLT.

like I said, this depends greatly on the local exchange and phone lines. Even with direct downloads running, I get a ping of about 91ms when I ping google.com
