Is it alright to tell the guy you liked, that at one point you had feelings for him?

Ok it’s like this. I was in love with a guy. But I knew that he wasn’t interested in me. However it was difficult for me. So the only way I could forget him was buy limiting my contacts with him.

So I completely shut myself up and stopped all my contacts with him. Often he was puzzled and my mutual friends used to tell me that he would inquire from them as to why I was silent with him etc. however now I am absolutely over him and I feel like I owe an explanation to him.

So my question is, is it ok for me to tell this guy and explain to him the reason for my behavior in the past? Is it a good idea?

er....ok fair enough, but then again, he would be like WTH and not be normal because isn't there a chance of him thinking that I am using him? whenever I want I am being ok with him and when not I am not?

what i meant was. I was not talking to him like for more than 6-7 months and now all of a sudden if I start being normal and all, wouldn't he start wondering?

yeah there is a chance of things being awkward but I am not doing this expecting anything, only things is that I feel he should know the reasons, not that it matters, but for future dealings between us it will be much more easier that we clear out the air....

No, its not a good idea.
Say that you were temporarily insane or some such excuse.

definitely. Especially after this much time has lapsed. Make up some believable excuse or dont get it touch with him at all.

ok but it is difficult to not to get in touch. The thing is we still meet a lot on a daily basis for that matter. So I don't want him to think that I was silent because I am cross with him due to some other issues and jump into wrong conclusions.

if he thinks you're cross at him for some other issue, let him apologize, you accept the apology and let the matter end there.

if you are done with him you owe him no explanation at all. digging up the past would make both of your lives pretty miserable (especially if he has moved into a new relationship or he's forgotten everything about you). so my suggestion is that you gotta be silent as you were in past few years...cheers!! XD
