Results of Advanced Level Examinations will be released tomorrow (25), the Department of Examinations announced short while ago.
The results will be available on the Examinations Department website tomorrow afternoon.
Principals of Colombo and Sri Jayawardenapura schools will be able to collect the result sheets from the Examinations Department in Battaramulla on December 25 from10.00 a.m. Result sheets will be posted to outstation schools.
The results, which was due to be released in the second week of December was delayed due to an issue in finalizing the Z-score university entrance points system by the University Grants Commission.
As the results were to be delayed by another four days, President Rajapaksa called for an immediate meeting with Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena, Attorney General Eva Wanasundara and Examinations Chief Anura Edirisinghe at Temple Trees.
President directed a committee consisting specialists on the possibility of releasing the results on December 25.
On Saturday, the committee report on Z-score which led to the delay of issuing of A/L results was approved by the Attorney General.
