once u get in u can do a paper on your field of interest, most of them do something related to the country's economic & fiscal policy. once the paper is approved you will be sent overseas for postgraduate studies. fully paid by the bank. after sometime you can go for the PhD as well. IMF & WB has programs with world's top universities.

If u get in to a good department like ERD (economic research) you will definitely retire with a PhD.
