it's not about wearing suitable clothes it's pretty much about being in a right place at right time.

The tourists from other countries have immense freedom in their respective countries so thay can move about in many places without getting attacked or raped. The authorties in Sri Lanka should take approriate steps to warn these people about places/times they have to be careful from predators.
Anyway, if women are raped in their hotel rooms or hotel lobbies then I don't think there is any solution for that.

It's not just in here. if you hook up in Brooklyn, New Jersey , and even NYC at night definitely it's not safe. there are predators in everywhere so it's quite unfair to accuse Srilanka being an unsafe country. yeah that's true tourists should have their freedom but if you don't use ur common sense danger may be inevitable. I think it's basically about respecting people if you have a good view and the respect about female body you wouldn't dare to touch it without their permission. so what do you suggest as punishments for rapists?

There is no purpose in talking about law enforcement for rapists in Sri Lanka. Whatever the legal framework in the book maybe, if the rapist is a government politician or their henchmen they will go scot free. If the rapist is a common citizen, he will be mauled half dead in the police station.

remember how the Chairman of world bank caught once for a rape accusation.
but he was set free because eventually it was proved he has done nothing and also the girl was accused for being a hooker. that's one of famous examples how the capitalism works in developed countries.

Just a little piece of other information. I saw in Sri Lanka news that a minister called keheliya fell from a balcony in Australia and injured his legs. However, there is no such news reported in Australian media. I am baffled by this incident.

yeah I agree with you somewhat it should be changed but all those corruptions are a form of capitalism so obviously it's hard to eliminate them as long as the capitalism exist. the theory of capitalism solely mentions the poor should bend over to rich and power.
