they've got much long haul flights like to the us and the uk
they've got enough 777 to do this rout

There are enough passengers to travel to aussi from CMB. but no direct flights at the moment..

well from colombo to dubai on a a380 is not practical
people over there wont be able to afford a ticket

Guys, on the Emirates schedule for this flight, it lists Colombo as a Diversion Airport.

what exactly is a diversion airport and why did this A380 got diverted to CMB if it was not originally planned ??

එතකොට ඉතින් අපේ checking කරන එවුන්ට තමා පිස්සු හැදෙන්නෙ. දැන් එන එකෙත් කව්න්ටර්ස් 10 දාලා අදින්නේ බොහොම අමාරුවෙන්. ඕකත් ආවොත් දෙයියන්ගෙම පිහිටයි... අලුත් කව්න්ටර්ස් සෙට් එකක් ඇඩ් කරන්න තමයි වෙන්නෙ.

nope bun it is going to be DXB - CMB - SYD -AKL ( Auckland NZ )

Coz there are many passengers who are travelling to Aussie and NZ from Sri Lanka who has to go 2 or 3 transits so this will be the best option ......

diversion means may be due to some technical error or refueling . actually it came to refuel as the previous time .....
