Basically you can have blood type O (this is recessive, which means that if it's paired with an A or a B, your blood type cannot be O), B, A or AB. You will have 2 genes passed on from you parents which will determine which one you are. The possible combinations that will give you a specific type are:
O - both genes will have to be O (i.e. OO)
B - either BB or OB
A - either AA or OA
AB - AB only
You will receive 1 gene from your dad and one from your mum. You will pass only 1 of you pair to the child, and your parner will pass 1.
With negative and positive, they also go in pairs (one from mum and one from dad) and negative is recessive. The following combinations are possible:
