    Machan,

    I have a Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop and something has gone wrong and it want boot now.
    I also kind find my system recovery CD.
    I tried to go for the "Last best known configuration" tried to press F8 and restore factory settings and run the backup but non of these options are working.
    And also its Hard drive LED is also not blinking.
    It maxmumly boots up to the windows logo area.

    Guys please help...............

    Well If you want to recover your files and them simply format C: partition to get your hard back to work...then yeah it is possible but do you have any equipment? such as Any Hard Disk to USB plug system?

    For about Rs.2500/= you can buy one like that...with that you can plug any kind of hard disk to any PC as USB device...

    In this case I think system startup recovery will solve the problem...Do you know the version of the OS installed? or do you have the OS CD? if so then try boot from that CD and repair your system:)

    I am using windows 7 SP1 (64 bit) & No machan I dont have the windows original CD, nowadays the new laptops are not coming with the windows CD, we have to create a windows recovery CD from the system ( there is an option ).
    Thing is my recovery CD is missing & I tried to,
    Restore the system, Restore factory settings, Go to the last best known boot up settings, command prompt, start up repairing, etc.

    But nothing worked.
