This film is also mostly about Batman. As I mentioned earlier as a normal human being he has to make the best use of skill and smartness rather than extraordinary power.
    Totally loved it.

Recommend to Oldy. You may not dislike it

Seen it. Pretty sure I have a post about it somewhere in this thread. The Earth saving strategy sucked though. You cant possibly phase shift an entire planet, especially when its the source object itself thats being shifted. Massive plot hole there.

Watch Dark Knight Returns Part 1. Now thats one hell of an adaptation! Even with some of the original plot removed, its still a damn good adaptation of the graphic novel. Cant wait for part 2.

Dark Knight Returns - Part 1

This is one superb adaptation of the highly acclaimed graphic novel by Frank Miller. They've managed to use the visual style of the graphic novel in the movie, which is a feat by itself since its a very different style used in the books. The original story happens in the 70 - 80s when the cold war was full on though they seem to have dropped all the cold war references from the movie. Wonder how that'll effect part 2 as its part of the mail plot. The rather unusual slang used in the movie is probably from the 80s as well..
Even with the toned down violence, language and no smoking (in the book, Gordon was still smoking cigars), its still a very good adaptation.
The only parts I really miss is Batman's own self narrative parts where he compares how it used to be..

I'll pick this over Dark Knight Rises any day! 'Must watch' for all Batman fans.

How to know that movie is worth watching?

I think that everyone of us have felt dissapointed after seeing that shitty movies at least a dozens of times. So how to know whether a movie is worth watching or not before you spend your time & money on it?. I will tell you something I've been doing for years.

    Use Internet
There are popular & good sites to know about movies, from the cast, ratings, critics & making of the movies & even the food recipes (ex: http://www.movierecipes.net). Usually, I use following 3 sites every time before decide to select a movie to watch.

http://imdb.com - This is the most obvious & popular choice. A lot of who love to watch movies & not new to the Internet know about this. But, if you're one of those people who consider or judge a movie merely by it's IMDB ratings, my advice is that's not wise (not always though). I suggest you to check that movie also at metacritic & rottentomatoes too. Read both professional critic reviews & fans' comments about the movie at these sites. After that, you will have a clearer idea about the movie at most of the time.

I also love to read about the background & the production related details of the movies. & I find IMDB & Wikipedia very useful in that matter (& of course news).

& your friends' opinions, places like these forums are useful. But for me, using those sites have been the best way.

& finally, top of all those things, your perspective will be the most important thing when it comes to judge & rate a movie. Your knowledge about cinema, arts, music & other related subject areas, & the subjects which are discussed in the movie, your interest in those subjects are very important facts. For an example, if you had read & known who is Sarah Palin before you watch Game Change [2012], you might enjoy it better. :)

Hope these tips will be useful to someone. & I'd like to know from you too.
