I ordered a product from an online store

It has been exactly one month & twenty days since I purchased a protein supplement from the website bodybuilding.com but I still have not received it so I contacted Bodybuilding.com and they confirmed to me that the product already reached customs on the 01st of September 2012 but I don't understand why I haven't still received the letter from the Sri Lanka customs. Is there anything I can do about this? I'm thinking about going to the customs head office at Bristol Street tomorrow and collecting it? If I go there will I be able to collect it? What details will they require from me? And where about in Fort exactly is this place at?
Someone who has past experience with this or knows the subject please explain this to me as I'm really waiting to receive this shipment.

machan it depends on the postal service. if they sent it through usps express then go to mail exchange near lakehouse. no use of going to customs without going to the service provider here.

then machan get the tracking/package number, and contact dhl in sri lanka. it's somewhere in colpetty but you should also e able to inquire through phone.

very much. but machan you better ask b....com for the tracking number and contact them. don't wait.

when the package comes sometimes they clear it and send you the bill. in other cases they send you a letter to clear it from the customs. it depends. whatever they should contact you. now here you haven't been contacted, you should inquire.
yes sri lankan branch should know.

I have the tracking number but because I didn't opt for the express shipping method, there isn't step-by-step tracking. So all I get from the DHL web-tracker is this:

Everytime I go into the Bodybuilding.com chatroom and ask them why I haven't received my package yet, they keep telling me it will arrive. I'm tired of waiting machan. I have to hit the gym also but I can't visit the gym without my protein powder.

Yeah, machan. I really regret purchasing it from Bodybuilding.com. Actually it wasn't me who purchased it but a friend who lives in Malaysia. I did him a favor and so in return instead of cash, I asked him to purchase this protein supplement for me. I really shouldn't have gone with BodyBuilding.com. Damn it! I'm really regretting it now. They just seemed like an extremely legitimate site so I went with them. Problem with e-bay is that not all sellers can be trusted so I didn't want to take a chance. Bodybuilding.com assured me that the shipment reached SL on the 1st of this month itself, that's why I'm starting to get worried here. I really don't know what to do.
Anyway machan you've been of great assistance and I can't express how much I appreciate your help man. Thanks a load brotha! I just hope DHL SL can help me. :'(

I really don't care about the money because it wasn't me who purchased it. All I want is the product.
Anyway so I called the DHL hotline just now and they told me that my package has nothing to do with DHL Sri Lanka and that it probably is coming via normal post because my tracking number was over 10 digits. So what does that mean? Where do I go check now, machan?

machan can you tell me the tracking no: so that i too can try a little with what i know and see what happens. and also can you forward me the body of the email they sent telling you that it s on dhl, if okay with you. then maybe i can guess exactly what they are upto.

i said that you have to get money back cos then you can order it from elsewhere

machan looking at this dhl sri lanka cannot say that someone else is handling the parcel. and tell them that the tracking number works on the website,and that all you want to know is where the parcel is.

anyway it seems that it s still not here. the best thing now is to get the money back. who ever paid should get the money back. either complaining to the credit card company, or to paypal. there are provisions for that most of the time. and order again from elsewhere. if you delay you wont be able to get the money either.

i think you should ask them(bb.com) in a little strict manner what happend to it, and tell them that you need more than a vague assuarance. and insist that you need to know where exactly it is and when you are getting it. and tell them that you have waited too long and you need the money back. talk to them online.
