Want to let you know about three big movies I watched recently.
First, The Amazing Spider-Man. I watched it few weeks ago. Although it revisits some old stories, I can say you that I quite enjoy the movie. I think that I love Andrew Garfield as the Spider-Man. My rate would be around 7.2/10.
Then recently, The Dark Knight Rises. Everyone knows that this is the most awaited movie of the year. So big expectations. No exceptions for me. When I talk about how successful this movie is, I want to tell it in two ways. First, relative to any other movies. Now, it was a good ride. That was a very good movie. But, when I compared it with it's previous installments, I have to say that I was a bit dissapointed after watching it. The standards I saw in The Dark Knight [2008], I guess I missed some of them in this finale. My rating is 8. (I had planned to give it more than that, maybe 8.5 or 9.0. But, I couldn't give it more.)
Finally, yesterday, I watched Skyfall @ Majestic City. It should be the #3 best movie I watched in this year. Before I saw it, I thought that it might be a bit hyped. Coz. Most of the stuff I read about it online were positive. But overall, the movie was good enough to forget anything negative noticed. Besides Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem is worth mentioning. His character reminds both Julian Assange & The Joker. My rating is about 8.2.

As a movie, DKR is not as bad as that but compared with the first 2 Batman movies, yeah, its bad. Compared to the source material, totally agree, its Absolute CRAP! Bane was sooo messed up. Even the animated movies had a far better Bane than this one.
Either Nolan just didnt research enough on the source material or just didnt care at this point and went with whatever the story writers came up with cause there's a TON of great stories to pick from for this one and they went with a story line that reused Raas Al Ghoul along with a second rate Bane who's IQ was supposed to be on par with Batman.
If they just used the Dark Knight Returns story and actually had superman come in for the final fight, it would've been so much better and actually would've marketed the upcoming superman movie as well.
Alternatively, since they seem to want to use Bane, they could've easily used the Knightfall story arc and STILL come up with a better story that didnt have a cameo Raas Al Ghoul and a mess of a Talia and simply have Bane as the top villain taking Batman down by matching wits as well as brawns with Bruce. They could've easily foregone that ridiculous plot of fusion reactor-turned-to-a-bomb as well.
I think that goes against everything that Nolan had hoped from the Batman series. He tries his best to keep it close to the reality. That is why he kept sending the message batman or Hero can be anyone.
Superman's complex would have f!@#$ that idea in the ass had he bought him in.
I'm pretty sure you havent read the Dark Knight Returns story to even know what I'm talking about. Suggest you do that first before arguing about messages sent to heroes.
even you will have to admit that it wasnt even on par with the previous two movies.
wasn't in the same league as TDK, wasn't as awe inspiring as TDK. that moment when both groups of people on each ferries decided not to set off the bombs..or the ending
but TDKR entertained to no less. and couldn't match the character build the first film.
