Game Ladders DOTA2 League
Announcing the Game Ladders DOTA2 League, an initiative by GameLadders.LK in order to bring a first hand experience of online DOTA 2 on a competitive level. Many players of DOTA2 in Sri Lanka have witnessed the hype and excitement brought out by most European and Chinese DOTA2 tournaments.
A year after the release of the BETA the popularity of the game has grown extensively both casuaully and competitively with more and more people viewing professional matches through DOTATV or streams.
SLCG 2012 was the first high profile e-Sports event where DOTA2 was introduced in Sri Lanka for the first time. The Game Ladders DOTA2 League is introduced to increase the awareness and popularity of DOTA2 in Sri Lanka and allow DOTA2 players to enjoy themselves and have a good time in this first of its kind league as well as win a cash prize while they are at it.
With a prize pool of over Rs. 10,000 and a host of other features including stats recording, community shoutcasters, etc Game Ladders DOTA2 League will aim to provide a great experience for its players and spectators and will be the launch pad for future tournaments of its nature. This will help provide the exposure needed for Sri Lankan DOTA2 to be recognized in the South Asian region.
Registrations are now open and will close on the 5th of April.
The tentative start date of the Game Ladders DOTA2 League is 6th of April 2013
