Once Upon a time there was an old man who had 3 sons.
He was seriously ill and wanted to write his last will and did like this.

Out of the 17 horses he had,

1/2 of the horses goes to the eldest son
1/3 of the horses goes to the middle one
and
1/9 of the horses goes to the youngest

Then with in a week the old man died.

How exactly these three sons are going to divide the horses as per the will?

(of course without killing them - should divide each in one peice)

This is not about maths .. it is about thinking creatively ...

as you said,

if "1/2+1/3+1/9
= 9/18 +6/18+2/18 =17/18 ? "
this is not the case and it is 18/18
that will be just a mathematical question with an exact answer ...
No need to think creatively..

Then the interviewer said "now I will give you 2 options. Select one and that will be the last question or questions."

Option 1 - One last very difficult question
Option 2 - 10 last moderate level questions.

So the interviewee selected the option 1.

Interviewer said ..
"OK fine"
here goes your last question...

"Is it hen or the egg came 1st to the world?"

The Interviewee replied.

"Hen"

Then the interviewer asked.

"How did a hen come without having an egg ?"


How will he survive this question ???

I hate this question, reason(s)

* first of all father was stupid to leave children in chaos
* Practically you can't divide 17 horses unless one is pregnant
* Neighbour who brought one horse to solve problem which make no sense (never gonna happen in real world)
* Children were degraded as third party involvement

but, still best answer was , someone mentioned that one horse has delivered a baby. That was excellent answer for this question. No hassle, no puzzle, simple way to go, solved problem.

Many pundits try and no one can see any difference of his pronunciation or anything.

One guy volunteers for the task but says he want 24 hours to solve it. Next day he reveals the mother tongue of the Man correctly. How did he get to know the language?

I didn't know the story of Andare but it happened in my real life. One of my friend came from london and told us that he had forgotten his mother tongue. so what we did was we just hit him and he started to scream Ambo
