I think islam and education are not very good bed mates. Even in the above post there are muslims who still have their free thinking. But their numbers are slim to none in the facebook. Even the ones I know just put on this "conservative" face; but underneath they are die hard islamists.

Why not there are Muslim medical college deans too.

Even in my case as a Buddhist i analyze and accept Lord buddha's teachings but i don't believe in the stories like walking on flowers when prince Siddartha born, and any deities like Vishnu, katharagama deyyo and even i dont believe in heaven or hell
Anyway can say i am not buddhist but i don't my its my philosophy which is the science of mind.

since i am into reality with science and technology I don't give damn on those magic stuff but i extremely approve researches which extends the human knowledge

i was waiting for this answer. what you call science now was magic before they were invented. invention is a word which people invented... magic the same. there's no magic actually. everything we do is reason-result oriented. basic buddhism. magic is something we are unable to explain..... but can done by a magician. what's the difference? we can't but he can. sounds ridiculous. this is the point which we both agree that magic is not magic anymore..... my point is the things you prefer to keep as unspecified (supernatural) might be clearly understandable by some other who gained higher psyche levels....

i was waiting for this answer. what you call science now was magic before they were invented. invention is a word which people invented... magic the same. there's no magic actually. everything we do is reason-result oriented. basic buddhism. magic is something we are unable to explain..... but can done by a magician. what's the difference? we can't but he can. sounds ridiculous. this is the point which we both agree that magic is not magic anymore..... my point is the things you prefer to keep as unspecified (supernatural) might be clearly understandable by some other who gained higher psyche levels....

Nirvana is can be achieved by mind not by Body.
Lord Buddha gained higher psyche levels by mind not by Body.
His mind will do miracles with his great thinking.
Body is just a thing which exist maximum year 100 and it will rot.

So now you want me to believe miracles done by body by walking on flowers at birth and "yama maha pelahala" by body.
Remember that Mind is the powerful thing...
