Just a thought: Apple never said they have invented everything or they are perfect in mobile industry field (Apple logo says itself {eaten apple}) , it's just a phone with simplicity interface which meets modern business requirements and the users love it! (specially businessmen) Other phones have features and way more, the question here is: Why didn't those features become popular? I think the answer here is the user experience, the interface design. If you have a phone (Samsung, HTC, etc.) with an awesome feature, just use it and share it! If it's good, people will follow and it may become a trend! I think it is unfair and unprofessional of always blame and troll Apple about everything: "So now Apple invented colours, so now Apple invented gold, so now Apple invented flat design, so now Apple invented fingerprint readers, so now Apple invented slow-motion cameras" Nobody is saying that! It's just a simple phone with appealing features and a great user interface, not the best maybe but people like it. EK is not a technology forum, but we can all share our points of view objectively, but this whole "iSheep, fanboy, Apple sucks, everybody is an idiot" is just plain stupid! It's like arguing about which rock band you prefer, or which genre! They are all good for its followers and if it's not for you, that it's ok but you don't have to trash people's preferences.

    Kata dekak ne hebai.
iPhone wala class cannot be touched by anyone else.

Samsung, HTC LG are all in the gutter compared to Apple.

Anyone with money will go for the iPhone.
Its the poor fucks that cannot afford it who are forced to settle for the other brands.

Does anyone here know about marketing ??

“Marketing" :- it is something Apple does very well. Take this ad about the iCloud. It has no spoken words, but it explains exactly what the cloud is for a smart phone:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdLyPUQUT6Q

Do other phones have cloud capability? Sure. They why don't they market that?

Apple also does design very well. I remember seeing Dr. Edward Tufte once when he was talking about his first iPhone. He was excited to learn that his phone had a calendar, an alarm clock, and a calculator. His friends told him, "Edward, your cell phone has always had these things."

    "Really?" he replied. "Where?"

If a function is hidden beneath menus and settings, then your user isn't going to bother. It doesn't matter if it does it or not, if the option is hidden, it's not going to be used.

Market the concept; and make the concept easy to find.

Yes.. 1st thing which I love about iPhone is its user friendliness.. no hassle.. it only takes seconds to scroll through its home screens and find an App.. and most of those Apps perform very smoothly unlike most Android phones because Apple always use the perfectly matching hardware and its own hardware architecture to overcome incompatibilities with its software :)

look at the manufacturing process of an iPhone:

    Of course mate;

This link gives a good explanation about why we do not see or hear enough much about the slow motion capabilities of the S4.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUcotLtO4fo

It is simply buried to deep in the settings for most people to find it. Just like their panorama picture setting. That is the problem with Samsungs. Apple gives you everything including the kitchen sink approach.

In the future simplicity will win the game:cool:

Another thing is Apple never use top notch over clocked CPUs or very large memory units for iPhone but they do the trick which is reducing unwanted RAM and CPU usage by not usning any home screen gadget launchers or background services to gain extra performance.. And the other thing is nobody can compare Apple's own hardware architecture with any Quad Core, Octa Core CPUs comes with those cheaply made Android devices such as Samsung Galaxy S4, because this proves Samsung's Octa core processor cannot compete with Apple's Dual core processor :P

    Screen-Shot-2013-09-26-at-12.46.47-640x333.jpg

But these are the specs of iPhone 5:

Display: LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 640 x 1136 pixels, 4.0 inches (~326 ppi pixel density), Corning Gorilla Glass, oleo-phobic coating

Memory: 16/32/64 GB storage, 1 GB RAM DDR3

Data speed: DC-HSDPA, 42 Mbps; HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps, LTE, 100 Mbps; EV-DO Rev. A, up to 3.1 Mbps

Camera: 8 MP, 3264x2448 pixels, autofocus, dual-LED (True Tone) flash, 1/3'' sensor size, 1.5 µm pixel size, simultaneous HD video and image recording, HDR

OS: iOS 7, upgradable to iOS 7.0.3 (World's most advanced mobile OS yet!)

    Processor: Dual-core 1.3 GHz Cyclone (ARM v8-based)

    GPU: PowerVR G6430 (quad-core graphics)

And these are Samsung Galaxy S4 specs:

Display: Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors, 1080 x 1920 pixels, 5.0 inches (~441 ppi pixel density), Corning Gorilla Glass 3

Memory: 16/32/64 GB storage, 2 GB RAM

Data speed: HSDPA, 42.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps

Camera: 13 MP, 4128 x 3096 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, Dual Shot, Simultaneous HD video

OS: Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)

    Processor: Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 (Octa core)

    GPU: PowerVR SGX 544MP3

So who is using unwanted specs of hardware for just a mobile phone which we only use when we can't access to a computer?

And nobody can ever forget that Apple bought us those amazing features like motion sensing, accelerometer supported games, full multi touch screens in 2007 before Google even releasing Android in 2008 Q4 :)

I have both MBP & Iphone , they Sycnz seamlessly and behaviour like family members to meet my goals effortlessly. With popular I meant "viral", but well, if whatever feature is more "popular" in whatever brand/system etc. I honestly don't care, I just love my iPhone, MBP and its features and I'm a happy user with it.
