A planned life may not be joyful as an unplanned one. u must let life give u what u deserve deal with the situation when it arrives, simply when life gives u lemons.. make lemonade.
Regrets bring nothing but sorrow which will block your way up. if you fail on something just take the lesson out of it & let it go. Learn to make pain a pleasure. None will have a life full of happiness but a balanced one.

How about ditching the idea of having kids altogether. You will have loads of free time to yourself and less responsibilities.

Well there should be a next Generation always..if not human race would not move forward..So kids are important.we should not be selfish :) :)

Yes in a wholistic viewpoint you are right. But few independent people, like myself opting out ain't going to affect the system. Its not that I think I lack parenting skills or come from an abusive dysfunctional family. I just think life would be much more interesting and adventurous if we can walk that path.

Yeah viewpoint of each and every people could be different..and yeah in one way there is a truth in what you say.. Life would be so much easier without kids and with so much less responsibilities.. even I feel like that..but then again in other side there are so many good things by having kids; like you can be happy seen their success and you have something to care about and so on..but whatever it is at the end of the day we have to move on with the system for the sake of the human race and in one way for ourselves too :)

Or see those rebellious punks turn out to be the opposite of what you wanted them to be.The problem is that we rely on other people for our happiness and self worth; wife, parents, children, you name it. I am fairly confident I would not screw up anything but can I trust others to do so? obvious answer is "no". Even if they try, there are too much variables involved. This is why I fear marriage and kids.

I am not an ungrateful bastard so I will take care of my parents to the best I can but apart from that I want it all for myself.

hmmmm food for thought....there is something to think about in what you say.. but It depends bro..people think differently, this is your viewpoint and I appreciate that  certainly a marriage puts your freedom of life in to the bay...but its all how you think..if you can manage wife and kids and all that properly then you wont feel like this, but then again if you feel uncomfortable with all that then yeah its better to be alone..but either way it depends on each person :)
