China's president Li earlier said his country would not stop searching for the missing aircraft while there was still a "glimmer" of hope.

Dozens of ships from various countries are continuing to scour an area the size of Britain for the vanished jet.

The search was spurred on late last night following the release of a satellite image of what looked like objects floating in the South China Sea.

The images were taken on Sunday. It has not been revealed why China took so long to publish them globally.

Malaysia Airlines will no longer use the flight code 'MH370' as a mark of respect following the disappearance of the Boeing 777, according to reports.

The aircraft vanished on Saturday on route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Several large objects were spotted by a Chinese satellite in the South China Sea on Sunday - and revealed last night.

Vietnamese search planes reportedly found no debris in the area while searching this morning.

China's president has vowed his country will continue the search while a "glimmer" of hope remains.
