A massive, continuous eruption from Indonesia's Mount Anak Krakatau
Alongside elevated activity from five other Indonesian volcanoes has triggered widespread travel disruptions across Southeast Asia, heavily impacting flights to and from Malaysia.

While Malaysia has no active volcanic eruptions within its borders, the massive ash plumes from the Sunda Strait have drifted across the region. The volcanic ash has forced the closure of eight Indonesian airports, including Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, stranding over 270,000 passengers and halting hundreds of regional flights.

Aviation Grounded: Major airlines, including Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, and Batik Air, have collectively cancelled dozens of flights between Kuala Lumpur (KLIA), Penang, Kuching, and Jakarta

If you have plans to travel to Indonesia, Malaysia please take extra precautions.

Malaysia is already battering with heavy haze, with visbility is 1km and AQI is very unhealthy.
