There was a whole thread about this machan. Generally Sr. Java developers tend to earn the highest, followed by .net, c, PHP, Javascript. This is never going to be a fixed grade. Sometimes a PHP guy can earn the highest, etc. That depends on the company and other environments.

By Sr. Java developers, I'm not going to say they are IJTS students. Real Java professionals.

My point was that the technology does not necessarily matter. Don't learn a language because it has a higher market. Learn the language you find more useful and interesting to you, and add the job market as a secondary factor.

I earn more than 170k/mo, working for a UK-based research firm (I'm the lead developer). PHP.

    In Sri Lanka, salaries AFAIK:
    Java SE Sr. > 120k
    Java Se Jr. 50-100k
    - almost same for .net -
DB analyst and architect (mysql, nosql, mongodb, etc): >120k
    PHP Jr: 20k - 50k
    PHP Sr. >80k
Android (less-experienced in Java itself, but good in android): >50k
    iOS/objective c: >80k
    golfscript: >180k (;))
JS (front end and node.js, etc): >100k

Sr. = more than 3 years xp. Price sources wso2, paragonsoft, pyxle (can't remember spelling), 99x.

Thanks for the Info Machan, Rep++
I have almost 2 Years of Exp in .NET and 1 Year in JAVA.
So i think i can manage those 2 languages in SE level,
I don't think i have time to learn new language to find a job,
    But the Reason that i have added other languages;
Because there can be people in EK who Interested in those languages,
So the info about those might useful for them, Specially for job seekers :)
