Do you want to visit ?
This is the guidance for one day safari. But if you would able to do camping it will be a great experience.
If you are planning for a one day tour you have to be at the entrance around 5.30am, because park opens at 6am.
As per saying Early bird catches the worm, try to be on first Jeep in to the park. You can find a jeep from internet if you search “wilpattu safari jeeps” or else on your way to park you might be able to see jeeps are available. Best thing is book one of jeep when you are planning.
You must have luck to see the animals, 94% does. 5% fail.

Do not make noise while traveling and follow the guidance from your guide/tracker.
DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OR TAKE ANYTHING FROM PARK.
DO ONLY PHOTOGRAPHY
So here we go…
Those are the snaps we took during our Wilpattu visit and we were in to 5% category until evening 4pm and then suddenly we went to 95% category by seen Elephant, beautiful leopards and bear.
Enjoy and try to visit real beauty of wildlife when it possible

We hired a jeep from a guy called Supun who is interested in wildlife photography. His service can be obtained on prior appointment. You'll be charged Rs. 7,500 & Rs. 4,500 for full day & half a day safari respectively. We were provided breakfast & lunch by Supun for a reasonable price. If you want to experience the ultimate beauty of the wildlife, keep in mind that patient is the key factor. Normally rain starts in November & will continue up to January hence avoid those months.
