AWS (Amazon Web Services) Payments with VISA Debit Card

I have a VISA debit card issued by Commercial Bank Sri Lanka. Can I use it to make payments for AWS (Amazon Web Services). I know that I can make use of it on Amazon.com for ordinary purchases, but what about the AWS?? I want to register for the AWS services! Do you need a credit card or is the debit card enough.

Anyone using AWS with a debit card please share your experience.

Any help/advice is highly appreciated.
