    Interstellar..

while I am not right now in a position to review this film, as I just finished watching it, I'll this about Nolan.

He's a masterful film maker and has easily surpassed many other Hollywood directors.

I don't think his attempt was to create something scientific or greatly philosophical or imaginative as is expected mostly from sci fi films. he's tried to give meanings to stuff that we deal with everyday life like love..or time using a different premises and has done a wonderful job at that.

I don't think this can be compared either to 2001 or any other space exploration art films. (apples and oranges).

This reminds me mostly of Contact and Solaris (another great film nobody will ever care to see or debate).

2001 was hardly an art film. Its a hardcore sci fi film. Contact and Solaris are hardcore sci fi films and Interstellar follows the same. In terms of Sci Fi, its up there with Contact and on par with 2001. In terms of cinematography, I doubt anyone can match Kubrick regardless of the technology used.
I see the infuence of a lot of Clerk's Space Oddissy series in Interstellar but it could be because the books covered the same topics first.
All in all, its a great Sci Fi movie.

Soviet Army invading Afghanistan. USA biting nails thinking how to get at
Russians. And one congressmen making an impossible treaty in bringing
Israeli expertise with Egypt, Pakistan and Sauds at the same table.

There are no better genre of movies for me. Personally.

However its easy to lost in many dialogs take place unless you got the
basics of USA and its affairs with Middle Eastern countries, Israel and
Pakistan. It happened to me :/

Yet this surely is one of the best comedy drama I have seen for the past
few years. And grace of both Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour ? Priceless !

Too bad these films doesn't come to light more often. I found this
    accidentally searching "israel" related movies

This thread has too many wizzies now by the way

last part of 2001 was pretty artsy I'd say..I see more parallel to Contact though.

    Horrible bosses 2..

This film evoked some strong feelings in me...the strongest being the resolute and unyielding need to reach for the nearest blunt object and beat that charly day bitch to death with it

Chris Pine saved the filmed for me though, quite good actor he is, can play psychotic well.
