Tesla Model S burns to rubble at charging station in Norway
Burning hoverboards are all the rage in recent weeks, but another battery-powered vehicle recently went up in flames in Norway: a Tesla Model S car.
A video of the flame-engulfed vehicle was posted by Norway news site VGTV on Friday, just one day into the new year.

The car, a 2014 Tesla Model S, had been left by its owner to charge when it erupted in flames, according to the NRK report. No cause of the fire has been revealed, but the report notes that firefighters had to use special foam to extinguish the car, which is powered by lithium-ion batteries.
