Moscow beheading nanny who decapitated baby was 'not acting alone' as police hunt 'terror recruiters'
A nanny accused of killing and decapitating a four-year old girl she was babysitting was not acting alone, Russian prosecutors have said.
Gulchekhra Bobokulova, a 38-year-old mother of three sons from Uzbekistan was spotted brandishing the child's head outside a subway station in Moscow on Monday morning.
Before a court sanctioned her arrest for two months today, prosecutors told the court they believe that individuals who "incited" her to carry out the killing are still at large.
She told reporters at the courthouse that "Allah ordered" her to carry out the act. Bobokulova - who smiled and yawned in court - also replied "yes" when asked if she accepted her guilt.
Sat in the metal cage reserved for defendants in Russian courts, Bobokulova waved and said:
"I am Allah's messenger. Hello everyone."
