I checked on EURO NCAP site. there are two models and this rating is applicable for the one comes with safety pack. However I highly doubt whether its for the indian suzuki or the japanese one.

at that price I doubt its popularity..

If it's Maruti it's Indian There are no Maruti factories in Japan. The one without safety pack also scored EU NCAP 3 star rating

further I couldnt find the "maruti" trade name on that and happy to see people compare newly released indian cars with 16 years old japanese vehicles.

That's because a 16 yr old Jap car cost as much as a BN Indian vehicle nowadays
