Singapore holds the world's second most powerful passport. The news comes from the 2017 Passport Index, which ranks the world's passports based on their visa-free scores according to the number of countries they can visit without a visa (or by getting a visa upon arrival).
Germany nabbed first place with a score of 157 in this year's list, followed by Singapore — which overtook South Korea to become the highest-ranked Asian passport — and Sweden in a second place tie at 156. At 155, third place was shared by Denmark, Finland, France, Spain, Switzerland, Norway, the UK and the US. Coming in at the end of the list of 199 passports were countries like Syria, Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
