1. Salary for Software Engineer (gaanak kiyanna danne nathnam anith ewata sapekshawa aduda wadida)- Better than many other companies (benefits, Bonus, Rewards)
2. Work-Life balance: Working hours & weekend works (Depends on team, your skills, Previously good support for sports events..etc)
3. Work culture & internal politics & etc. (There some politics, but again depend on your attitudes)
4. Technoligies ( like java, Spring, C# & etc)(C/C++ basically)

Pala yako yanna. 80% of the developers who work are form Moratuwa & Colombo. Few of the support staff are from other places. I know since i used to work there few years back.
If you are within the first 25 in the island ranking (A/L) they will recruit you. Else you have to be very good in critical thinking C++, data structures etc.
First two years forget that the leisure time ever existed.

So you think Developers are the company and others just support staff? Typical GON attitude bro. All DEV, BA, QA, Tech Ops are equally important for any project. Developers cant sell, Test or do client support. Same as QAs or BAs cant develop. I have seen this attitude among many developers in many companies adn those people only bring negativity to the team.

BTW it is true that many developers are from Govt unis, few are from Sliit.
Island rank or any shit doesnt apply largely in MIT, if you show your talent you can get in.

Look all the baka pandithas destroying the courage who seek life advise. I must tell you company has changed a lot. developing is not the core aspect not any more. We provide more diversity of service. Including infrastructure, manage services, operations for Capital Markets. Newly opened lseg office in maradana has many opportunities for young people.

LSEG BSL at Maradana is just a back office support services company. They might pay you good salaries in SL standards, but it is just client system support service for LSE group companies. They will be basically providing support for the products which MIT have developed and deployed at LSEG +
few other applications.

In comparison MIT is a innovative product company catering 40 client sites around the world. at MIT, is more challenging and innovative work, lot of R&D stuff. LSEG BSL at Maradana, is a good company too anyway.
MIT havent changed in terms of product offering or innovation. Although both comanies are in the same LSE Group, LSEG BSL Maradana is a separate entity. Do not mix up these two and paint a wrong picture about the Top Most IT brand of Sri Lanka.

Yes of course. If your profile is good, they will call you for interiew. Then you ahve to perform at interview and exams.

studying only BIT or coming from a private uni or a distance local uni (Sabare, eastern, Rajarata) does not apply.
Develop your self and again MIT is not best IT company in SL to work for.
