Yes, need to use their bose app, but its one time thing man, Also apple take the advantage of their own software, but now a miracle.

I am a big apple fan, but airpod sucks because whithout ear canal style, lengthy wearing causes pain in ears so do asses. Also, to be honest, sound quality is average.

These days i am looking for a wireless masterpiece..!!

Yeah, No clue about AirPods but BOSE has great sound quality. some say AKG, Sennheiser, B&W, Audio-Technica, Sony, JBL are more advance than BOSE but i'm not sure that statement though. I have a Beats Powerbeats2 but I love my BOSE. Period.
