He can transfer his properties to someone or sell it. But even though he is still ex-american not technically sri Lankan even with dual citizenship. Because he obtained sri Lanka citizenship by notorization. It can be revoke and exvil or deport back to States if SL president desire.

That's what I said. Property is not the issue. His SL citizenship is no longer as born. He is notorized person to both countries. Both countries can stripe away his citizenship in any given time.
This is the danger of notorization citizenship. It is not like born as a citizen. You don't have a heritage or pedigree there. So any given time governor or president in particular country can revoke your citizenship and deport. Once this has done. Either if your born country could accept you but even they also refuse then you become stateless person.

I said it above post. Notorization citizenship is not a life long guarantee to be a citizen. A war crime is more than enough to stripe this away. Because as long as he remains as a US citizen Geneva convention and Hague effect to US government for war crimes by its citizen. Therefore US will stripe away his status for their own good.

If Gota revoke his US citizenship and move back to Sri Lanka and announce candidate, Sirisena surely will revoke his SL citizenship without hesitation.
He don't need a reason to do so. But for public matter he could say about the war crime conviction that settled in US. If that posted as a reason divertly SL government accepting war crimes. That means more than one person could end up in Hague. So my best guess is if this situation arise most probably case against gotabaya would be treason and espionage.

Gota worked in civil state service as a defence secretary which is one of the highest ranks in civil servant. Meanwhile at the same time he was already loyal to another country as a citizen. That means treason and espionage. (A laughing matter ) Some can argue that gotabaya leaked state secrets to United States government while he was act as a defence secretary to Sri Lanka government. This point is not much simpler in eyes of law even though in practically seems useless claim.

It can argue that current regime wasn't in the power when Gota serve as the secretary. Also will raise that his brother which is Mahida (the president )is the one appointed him. So no other civil servant or person/minister convict in responsible for appointing him without background search.
