nah he was in line with the defender. for a sec his foot was ahead. Asst. ref could have given offside even though it's not actually offside. And no VAR for that.
So you can't say he was safely onside. It could have been very different if the flag was raised. Asst. ref is also human. He doesn't have slow-mo eyes
exactly. defender dived on the exact same moment. I think that's why he wasn't considered offside.
no man he was right on the margin
hmm..! yeah.! may be i'm confused with the camera angel..! you guys right, it cannot be seen in the naked eyes while on play , was hard for ref ,
but guys, there's nothing have concern with the defender in this particular moment neh...!
this is the screen shot of when costa where he just touched the ball before passed to Neymer , this is where all start,
As you can see, Neymer is clearly ahead of the last defender right..! ,so the situation has nothing to do with the last defender.

, it's all about WHERE THE ball IS.!
he's totally playing at least 3 feet
behind the ball in the exact moment. so the off side theory that has to be applied in the particular moment is, where the ball and Neymer situated when the ball is passed.
i dunno, may be the camera gets my eyes wrong with the distance between ball and the Neymer position,

but not with the defender..!
