Sri lanka should join African Union!African free trade area is much bigger.

The African Free Trade area is much bigger than ASEAN. Besides most of confectioneries go to African countries, we import Gems from Madagascar, etc. Even Haiti has joined in.There is a visa free entry to all counties of Africa too. Africa is 1.2 billion people market same as India or China.

This is a very good conversation to start! Africa is a huge resource to tie up with. As far as the Gems are concerned, I do not want to comment about the buying capacity of Sri Lankans. BUT I believe we can bring people from Africa. High labor costs here is affecting the bottom line of the Sri Lankan economy yet no one is talking about it.

This is a very good idea brother, I hope we can take this conversation to the next level.

any union is better than our south asian cooperation we dont even have visa free access between most south asian countries. how on earth a regional cooperation can go forward like this ?
