i was of the opinion before the WC began itself that france will win when seasonal FIFA fans who know only Neymar,Ronaldo & Messi in the world were arguing that their Hero's teams will win....Hardly anyone even heard of Lukaku before they did a story on his life couple of days and everyone was gung ho supporting Belgium just like that and now a lot of those Noob football fans are disappointed and cursing France
Trying to claim your superiority by football watching? Acting is the one thing I don't like to watch football. They are players not actors. In football, if one team scored a goal in second half the whole match's momentum is dropping and we are getting bored. because that team wasting time using their dirty tactics. Thats why I prefer even T20 cricket instead, because momentum getting higher at the end of the match.( Yah cricket is not a posh sport) France was playing dirty since the beginning. Played dirty in Uruguay match also. Their dirty tactics good for them but not good for football. That is why they don't deserve it. Japanese went other way trying to score more but ended up losing. Thats why I am a seasonal watcher. It is a waste of time watching people acting on the field.
Man, Didn't you see how many times Belgium players had take down France pace runners ? They had to take yellows for their team. Because they knew when and if Mbappe get the ball it's gonna be hard to defend. Dropping the momentum is winning side's job. Other team should take the ball and keep the momentum going.

I havn't seen any saint in the foot ball field..not in cricket[may be only the NZ team try to culture that]not in any sport nowadays..You have to get through all of that and be the winner...If not you have to admit you've failed the test.....

Lukaaku was a marked player....france made sure the ball never reached him throughout the game....that's call tactics.....When a team relies on just a single player to take them through the opposite players will mark the player and block him from scoring.....This is not playing dirty...Just pure stratergy

They played for the win. You can't blame them for that. Even Belgians wasted last minutes of vs Brazil match. This happens all the time. It's win or go home.
No team with a 1 goal lead wants to play right and risk a counter attack. What would happen if they conceive a goal? All that effort would be for nothing and on top of that this was no ordinary game.
Belgium had very good chances. Sadly nobody could convert at least one of them into a goal. At the end of the day, France was just better.
I wanted Belgium to win too ... but it just doesn't happen every time.

I am not a seasonal fan (my brothers are though) but not cursing anyone either. In the initial predictions I had France, Spain, Germany and Brazil for semis, and only France remains now. Wonder whether sacking of their coach in the last minute unsettled Spain, which I thought would go all the way.
