They played for the win. You can't blame them for that. Even Belgians wasted last minutes of vs Brazil match. This happens all the time. It's win or go home.
No team with a 1 goal lead wants to play right and risk a counter attack. What would happen if they conceive a goal? All that effort would be for nothing and on top of that this was no ordinary game.
Belgium had very good chances. Sadly nobody could convert at least one of them into a goal. At the end of the day, France was just better.
I wanted Belgium to win too ... but it just doesn't happen every time.
Thats why I am a seasonal football fan. I play football every weekend. Its fun to play. But hard to watch.

France played quite a different game. Not like vs Argentina which was very open. Quite boring in fact
+ Belgium didn't play that good either. Their defence was sloppy & the only one who gave it all was Hazard.
At least from what I saw.
I'd say France played very careful football. Which is boring. But they have the players to grind out the results.
But overall they aren't close to be the best team in this world cup.
I still think the Belgium team performed way superior to them in the tournament.

at the last 16 stage i predicted England,Crotia,France and belgium in the Semis, since the fixtures are finalised It will be England vs France in the finals and france to win

I think England are a decent enough team to win against Croatia and go to the finals...but it will not be as easy a match they had against Sweden...Croatia will make them work for it....Maybe nil all at playing time and penalty shootout today

Thats great prediction. Watching the Eng SF and looks like Eng Goal Keeper bit over confident, Croatia might get one through.
