Lakshitha Karunarathna studied nature subjects using still and motion documentary, before beginning wildlife photography. A Tea Taster by profession, he travels destinations in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Arctics to fulfill his childhood dream of getting close to nature and making memories of them through his camera. A long standing fan of fine art and monochrome wildlife pictures, he believes in the power of photography to affect conservation awareness.
A unique attribute he holds no doubt in comparison to a few other wildlife photographers is the fact that he had only been active as a Wildlife Photographer for a little over two years and has managed to compete in a number of photography competitions globally and won 252 awards and recognitions!
