lets do it here...
Just tell me why a well established, financially sound(who is well socially connected) guy in srilanka would want to risk it all and migrate to another country?

No petty excuses like traffic,shitty hospitals and absence of theme parks.

i dont think its fair enough to put restrictions on what i can mention here. those are not shitty excuses. anyway ill try to reply you without those points

* to get a better travel freedom ( example :- a stronger passport with visa free access to many countries )

* giving quality school education to your kids ( no dont bring up points like you can educate your children abroad. you're the person who wants to live in a corrupted developing nation just because you're rich )

* fast and well organized public services

* multi cultural and multi ethnic environment with a big diversity ( the one you see in sri lanka is not even closer to what you see in developed countries )

* a stronger currency to save your money

* law and order working in the right way

these are some small points pointed out. there are many other advantages for a person who wants to live in the developed country.

how do you feel about living in a country full of ebay cheaters who request money back from ebay sellers right after they get their product. how do you feel when sellers blacklist your country and not sending the product you want just because they think you're one of them. can you ask them to white list country and send you the stuff you want by saying you're rich ?

YES with a lot of work and lot of restrictions + time + energy. i can talk days if you want to talk about visa restrictions on sri lankan passport.

i can talk about scenarios that you will get stuck just because you have a sri lankan passport. money wont solve it. being rich wont solve everything there.

Don't get me wrong, I for a fact HATE DISHONEST people. I would simply try to make things better without trying to change my passport. Besides, there are good and bad people regardless of where you live. - heard of racism? something brown immigrants face in the so called ideal countries.

My point was that if you are financially sound in your birth country most of the "pros" don't mean much.(education,healthcare, transport) - Money can buy all of this
Do you think a successful businessman who can afford chauffeurs would migrate to another country? Could he afford the same standard of living there?

* lets say you are in a massive country where it borders with another country 20km away and the capital city with an embassy is in a distance that you should go by domestic flight. now lets say you suddenly decided to have a short holiday in the bordering country. you should come all the way to sri lanka to apply for a visa.

or else you should go by flight to the capital city with an embassy to get a visa while other nationals can have a short visit to the bordering country just with a passport

i have many scenarios like this that i can explain. im trying to keep this short.

It's true you need visa, but getting the visa wouldn't be an issue if you're loaded.
