Nope. Events happened in the movie were changed for some reasons.
Freddie didn't just come one night and sang to impress taylor and may. They were friends for years before that and freddie even lived with those two.

Queens never got separated before freddie quit the band. Freddie never even quit the band in the first place. They just did solos as individual projects while been in the band. Taylor was the first to do so. They did that because Queens was losing their 'fire' and band members were a little bit tired as a band.

Freddie didn't come out of nowhere, apologize and plead to join the band before live aid. As I said they were never even separated in the first place. They were doing tours couple of weeks before Live Aid so WTF?

There were so many things changed in this movie. Out of all these things Queens originally never wanted this movie to be about Freddie. They wanted freddie's death to be the middle of the movie and they wanted to show how the band continued without Freddie in the second half of the movie.

All the scripts had to be approved by the Queens members and without their approval the studio wasn't allowed to make a movie about 'Queens' Before Rami, Sasha Cohen was selected to play freddie and because Cohen wanted to make the movie more comedic and Queens wanting the movie to be about the band without freddie the project failed. Go and read first Queen member never acted like saints in real life but they made them look like angels in the movie by forgiving freddie, accepting freddie into the band again, never going solo etc. BTW there is wasn't a producer Ray Foster who told the Bohemia Rhapsody was too long. Ray Foster don't exists. Just go google. There are too many things and I cannot write everything here
