probably as a life saving measure. hysterectomy can not performed willy nilly without a proper indication . but usually mother or if she is unconscious family members are informed .it can not done solely based on one doctor's will.

I think it is better do proper investigation as people don't have any faith on Muslim docs because they may have already a member of any radical Muslim groups.
