Allowance Reduced for Annual Leaves Taken During Notice Period :(

    Please help me.

    In previous(private) company my package was as below.

    Basic salary - 50,000
    Travelling allowance - 50,000 (This was there as an allowance just to deal with taxes those days before 2018 April)

    I waited total notice period of 2 months(after putting 14 annual leaves it was around 1.5 months)

    But when I checked my last salary they have reduced around 35,000 mentioning they will not give allowance portion for utilized annual leaves.

    Can they do that legally? I have used my own annual leaves to cover my notice period and since the allowance is fixed I don't think they can reduce that just because I have taken my annual leaves.

    Kindly help and advise me.

    Check for the HR and leave policy manual of the particular organization.
    If you have applied for annual leave in advance, and the respective authority has approved them, then of course you are entitled for the full re-reimbursement of your allowance. However, this will be superseded by the organization exit procedure, and leave policy terms and conditions of your organization.
