Yep. Pretty much like the Passo derived from Daihatsu Boon and essentially the 1KR engine is a Daihatsu engine.

Yeah. It's not a bad thing though. Raize is decently kitted for the price so brand doesn't matter much here. I might end up buying it if it comes up with slightly bigger engine like the one CHR has.

Daihatsu is actually Toyota's small car branch and it has same technology/reliability as Toyota. So having Daihatsu origins should not matter much.

But as toyota claims its the first vehicle of toyota to come with the new d cvt gearbox.Have to see how it plays in sl roads though.

Yep. Need to wait sometime. Someone even gave me negative rep for saying it has Daihatsu origins. Little they know that I usually give damn about Allion/Premio resale. I even condemned 260s at past and then bought it later Might do same thing for Raize but had to be patient.

Even the 1000cc vitz engine was designed by daihatsu.Allion premio is still a proper sedan,raize is only 50mm long than the vitz.It will have less or same comfort as vitz for sure.

Raize is a worthy upgrade for a Vitz owner. From Allion/Premio perspective the next good SUV upgrade would be a RAV4/CRV/Eclipse Cross but prices are insane so.

Kinda true. However the vehicle in question is actually a Daihatsu re-badged as Toyota.
