Sri Lankan Airlines should outsource everything!

We People of this country cannot bear any losses of this stupid Sri Lankan Airline. If you want to kick the staff out do so. Outsource everything to private sector. Then manage the airline. Staff can be hired by private sector. Make Sri Lankan Catering separate entity. Baggage handling should be given to outsourced companies. Privatize Sri Lankan after that.Then you will see its profit.


It is cheaper to pay their wages without running the Airline. Rs. 17.21 Billion is a big money. Look at PIA they turned it around. other Airlines should not be given slots to fly a sector if Sri Lankan seating capacity is not full. If Sri Lankan wants to achieve profitablity then seating should not like a budget airline. It should be like posh Qatar Airways. No Saris please. Decent dress will do. seating width should be more and length for leg space should be more. peole should be given comfy fluffy pillows, soft seats. Quickly swap aircraft each year for a new craft for fuel efficiency. Do not need to keep the aircraft until end of life at the point it is of no use. Aircraft are like toilet tissue ,use and throw. More you keep them for long then you willl run into losses.

I always say we should do exactly the same thing for the government. Instead of maintaining 225 crooks,thieves & fools, who know nothing about governance or anything for that matter, we can outsource the entire parliament to six top class non Sri-Lankan administrators, paying a few million dollars each. We will end up much better off - guaranteed.
